Acce​pted Insurances and Benefits Assistance 

All patients are welcome at ACCESS regardless of if you have insurance. Patients without the ability to pay will not be denied services. When visiting the health center, a staff member will be happy to help you enroll in any benefits you may be eligible to receive. We accept All Kids, CountyCare, Family Care, Family Health Network, Harmony, Blue Community™, Medicare, Medicaid and most health insurance plans, including several managed care plan options. If you are uninsured, you may be eligible for plans available through  GetCoveredIllinois.Gov, the Illinois health insurance marketplace (please see below for more information).

Our Sliding Fee Scale Program

We also offer a sliding fee scale program to those who are uninsured or underinsured and low income. Any payment that is required for your visit is due at the time of you r appointment. 

To be screened to see what benefits you are eligible for or to sign up for our sliding fee scale program, please bring the following to your first appointment:

  • Photo I.D.
  • Proof of address (two pieces of mail or 1 piece of mail and a photo I.D. with address and name included)
  • Proof of income (income tax forms, two pay stubs, SSI/SSA official documentation, two most recent pay stubs, letter from employer, or ACCESS housing/shelter or employment verification forms)
  • Other documents may be required, please contact your health center for further requirements

Need Health Insurance?

With the Affordable Care Act, there are now more health insurance options available. ACCESS, an approved partner of GetCoveredIllinois.Gov, can help you get the health care coverage you need and deserve. 

GetCoveredIllinois.Gov is the Illinois online health insurance marketplace where you can buy health coverage at a discounted rate depending on your income. Our staff can help you apply for both commercial plans and Medicaid program such as, All Kids, Blue Community™, CountyCare and many others.

  • All plans cover important benefits like doctor's visits, hospital stays, prescriptions and more.
  • No one will be denied coverage because they are sick or have a pre-existing condition like asthma, diabetes or cancer.
  • Most IL residents can also get help paying for their insurance plan, and many qualify for low-cost or free coverage.​
