Background

Brigitte received her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University in New York. She is a Certified Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives, the International Society for Vulvovaginal Disease and the National Coalition for Sexual Health. Previously, Brigitte worked in the UK for the NHS on their COVID-19 vaccine effort which only reaffirmed her belief that access to quality health care is a basic human right which should be available to everyone. She believes her role as an A.P.N. is to partner with her patients and provide care through a holistic lens considering social factors including racism, poverty and trauma that may be barriers to care. In addition to providing care to our communities, Brigitte has an interest in international women’s health and has volunteered her time with Days for Girls International and Midwives for Haiti. She is a mother to two teenagers and a dog, and enjoys sewing, knitting and spending as much time as she can outdoors.
