Dr. Hasanga Samaraweera received his medical degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Public Health from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Germany and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Dr. Samaraweera completed his residency at the University of Chicago, where he specialized in Pediatric medicine. He is a member of the Illinois Chapter, Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Dr. Samaraweera has experience working in a federally qualified health center on Chicago’s Southside and believes health is about so much more than what we can do within the walls of a health center. He wants to be an advocate for his patients within the health center and outside in the community. Outside of work, Dr. Samaraweera enjoys taking walks with his fiancé and dog, Dandelion, spending time with friends and playing soccer.
