Jessica Shaker, M.D.

She is licensed through the Illinois State Board and is Board-certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), of which she is also a member. Dr. Shaker is passionate about serving her community and advocating for vulnerable populations, ensuring that all patients have access to high-quality, comprehensive care. Her philosophy of care emphasizes evidence-based medicine, patient education, and shared decision-making. She strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel informed, respected, and empowered in their health care choices. Outside of work, Dr. Shaker enjoys reading, traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with her husband and puppy.
Ivy S. Jones, P.M.H.N.P.-B.C.
Ivy Jones earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at Walden University and completed her practicum at the University of Chicago. She is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ivy incorporates the principles of patient-centered care into her practice and treats each patient with compassion, while providing evidence-based treatments. She chooses to work in community health in order to provide high quality mental health care to medically underserved communities. When not at work, Ivy can be found fishing, reading, or spending time with her family.
Kevin Shanahan, P.A.-C.
Kevin Shanahan completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He is certified through the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants. His approach to care is meeting patients where they are and working together to address their personal health needs by fostering a non-judgmental and patient-centered environment. Kevin chose to work in community health care because he believes that providing high-quality accessible health care impacts communities at multiple levels. When not at work, Kevin can be found playing guitar, cooking, hiking, and making pottery. He is fluent in Spanish.

Lauren Knazze earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her residency in the Northwestern McGaw Family Medicine Residency Program. She is Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Academy of HIV Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Knazze uses a collaborative approach to medicine and works with her patients to create a healthier lifestyle. She believes that health care is a human right and that everyone deserves accessible, quality care. Outside of work Dr. Knazze can be found reading fantasy novels, traveling, and spending time with family.

Mejd Al-Kurdi earned a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Rosalind Franklin University. He is accredited through the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants. As a PA, Mejd works to build positive relationships with each patient and empowers his patients to make the best decisions for their health and wellness. He is dedicated to breaking down barriers to care for his patients and ensuring that they receive the highest quality of care. Outside of work, Mejd enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing basketball. He is fluent in Arabic.

Bridget Adams, PA-C, received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies at New York Institute of Technology and completed her residency in New York. Bridget is credentialed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a licensed physician assistant in Illinois. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Bridget believes in providing exceptional, individualized care to her patients and chose community health care to positively impact the lives of patients and communities. Bridget played basketball through college and enjoys spending time with family and exercising.

In her free time, Angeli enjoys working out and spending time with family and she is fluent with Gujarati.
Susana Alvarez, M.D.
Dr. Alvarez earned her medical degree from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala and completed her residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is fluent in both Spanish and French. Dr. Alvarez focuses on community involvement in her practice and outside of work enjoys learning other languages and sports.
