Christina Govas, M.D.

Christina Govas earned her medical degree at the Saint James School of Medicine and completed her residency at Southern Illinois University. She is a Board-certified physician through the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a member of the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians. Dr Govas’ passion for patient advocacy goes far beyond the health center – she has partnered with community leaders to prevent the closure of hospitals in medically underserved neighborhoods. In her work, she uses a team-based and holistic approach to care that empowers patients to reach their goals. As a doctor, she leverages her knowledge and expertise to create a personalized health plan that matches a patient’s lifestyle and health goals. Outside of work, Dr. Govas enjoys travelling, cooking, and yoga. She is fluent in Greek.  

Ceymone Pride, P.A.

Ceymone Pride earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Morehouse School of Medicine and is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Medical Science at the University of Lynchburg with a concentration in behavioral medicine. Working in a community health center allows her to provide care in areas with healthcare disparities and create long lasting relationships with her patients. As a provider, Ceymone aims to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that treats the overall physical and emotional wellbeing of patients. When not at work, Ceymone can be found playing pickleball, going for runs, spending time with family, and trying out new recipes.  

Madelyn Winkelmann, P.A.

Madelyn Winkelmann earned her Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is licensed through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to coming to ACCESS, Madelyn worked in a community health center and saw firsthand the critical need for accessible primary care. Madelyn appreciates being a part of a mission-driven team dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care. Her goal in her practice is to empower her patients with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their health and contribute to shared -decision making in their health journey. Outside of work, Madelyn enjoys traveling to new places, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.  

Renee Philson, M.D.

Dr. Renee Philson received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and specialized in Family Medicine after completing the St. Margaret Family Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Philson is Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Philson believes health care is a human right and is dedicated to expanding access to quality care to not only combat the persistent health inequities, but improve the overall health and well-being in our communities. Outside of work, she enjoys trying and cooking new cuisines and listening to live music.
